Ringo Deathstarr; The Bishop

Tuesday, 9:00 PM

It's safer not to try to explain the sound of this delightful Texan alternative rock group. Simple grooving to this hodgepodge of heavy electric guitar and blended drone vocal will reward the listener with an eerie distortion to which he can sway his head. There are all kinds of classifications that people like to tack onto Ringo Deathstarr, from indie pop to shoegazing (distorted effects), to nugazing (indistinguishable, messy riffs). Suffice to say that Deathstarr has been honing its blend for years and needs no special jargon for categorizing; what's best is to simply enjoy the experience for what's it's worth.
