Thrones

w/ Danava, Racebannon and Charnel House

@ Russian Recording

Friday, November 4

9 p.m.

$10

If you were at The War on Drugs show last night, here's hoping you've recovered enough to make it out to Russian Recording tonight to see a disparate, excellent bill of heavy music.

Bassist Joe Preston's long-running noisy doom act Thrones will headline over retro-metal crew Danava, noise-punk oddities Racebannon, and analog-obsessed drone duo Charnel House. With a combined pedigree that includes recordings on Kill Rock Stars, Southern Lord, Secretly Canadian and Kemado, the quad rock attack promises to be one of the heaviest shows in Bloomington all year. Racebannon and Charnel House are easy enough to see since they're from here, but Danava appear to be on the cusp of exploding, and Thrones have been an important voice in heavy music for close to 20 years now.
