Here's one you don't see every day: A bona fide country singer will headline at The Bishop tonight. Nashville's Jonny Fritz aka Jonny Corndawg has been touring for ten years now, making stops in every continental United State along the way. Why not Alaska or Hawaii? They're not easily accessible via motorcycle. Corndawg's stage name sounds corny (sorry), but corny is what he does best, in a good, half-silly way - his song titles include "Chevy Beretta" and "When a Ford Man Turns to Chevy." Corndawg has also frequently performed with John McCauley of Deer Tick and Middle Brother. Tickets are $8; Busman's Holiday to open.
