Anti-folk singer-songwriter and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis, currently on a national tour promoting his most recent album A Turn in the Dream-Songs, will be headlining at The Bishop Tuesday night with his backing band "The Junkyard." Lewis is closely associated - both personally and sound-wise - with the similarly irreverent Kimya Dawson and her group The Moldy Peaches (largely of "Juno" soundtrack fame). Supporting Lewis tomorrow night will be Emperor X, a.k.a. experimental DIY singer-songwriter C.R. Matheny of Jacksonville, FL, and local lo-fi group Dust from 1000 Years. Below, watch Lewis draw cartoons, strum a guitar, and basically star in what might as well be a deleted "Juno" scene with lines like "I still don't have a cell phone but this sea shell gets reception" in his music video for "To Be Objectified."
