It's summer time and there are still plenty of shows to go to; this one happens to only be $5. Bro. Stephen, who is headed by Scott Kirkpatrick and is also the brain behind Chemic, is putting out a full-length on Bloomington's own XRA Records this year. Although he only recently began this musical endeavor, Bro. Stephen headed out on the road in 2009 on a national tour playing songs off of his debut record and The Front Room EP which was a bunch of demos Kirkpatrick had recorded on a cassette tape machine. To get a sample of some of his new music, check out this show. Along with Bro. Stephen, Vandaveer and Ferraby Lionheart will be playing. The former is an alternative-folk project put out by DC by the way of Kentucky crooner Mark Charles Heidinger. He has toured with the likes of Bon Iver and Bill Callahan, so this duo are pros at touring.
