After one half of play, Penn State leads IU 37-31.

Penn State senior guard Maggie Lucas started the game by rattling off a 7-0 run, forcing IU Coach Curt Miller to call timeout less than two minutes into the game. She finished the half as the leading scorer with 16 points.

Penn State's length forced the Hoosier offense to try to convert from the perimeter. IU was 6-of-20 from behind the arc and was five-of-17 from inside the 3-point line.

The Hoosiers went five minutes and two seconds without scoring midway through the second half after. The Nittany Lions took advantage of IU's offense going cold by going on a 7-0 run to take a 28-18 lead.

Freshman guard Larryn Brooks converted on four layups in five possessions. Freshman forwad Lyndsay Leikem followed Brooks' run with a 3-pointer of her own to cut Penn State's lead to three with 4 minutes and 11 seconds left in the half.

Senior forward Simone Deloach continued her stretch of good play. She has six points and eight rebounds. Brooks has 10 points to lead the Hoosiers in scoring.
