After IU gained a 25-24 lead with 5:47 remaining in the first half, Purdue responded with an 8-0 run for a 32-25 lead.
An offensive rebound by freshman guard Alexis Gassion led to a free throw line jumper by senior center Sasha Chaplin to cut the Hoosiers' deficit to five points. Houser quickly responded, though, with a 3-pointer for Purdue to give the Boilermakers an eight-point lead.
Following a miss by sophomore Kaila Hulls, Moses hit a jumper to extend the Boilermaker lead to 10.
A floater by Moses with one minute and 35 seconds remaining gave Purdue its largest lead of the half at 41-28.
