IU redshirt freshman defensive tackle Ralphael Green III earned Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week honors on Monday after his performance against No. 3 Ohio State.

He had four tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble on Saturday. Green has appeared in all of IU's games this season and he has started eight times. He has 24 tackles, one sack, 4.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two blocked field goals this season.

Green shared the honor with Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg and he is the first Hoosier to win the distinction since IU quarterback Nate Sudfeld earned it on Sept. 17, 2012.
