The No. 12 IU water polo team went a perfect 2-0 during the weekend to bring its overall and conference records to 16-11 and 3-1, respectively.

Although a perfect record rarely drops a team in the rankings, there is a possibility this could happen to IU in Wednesday's new polls. The Hoosiers' wins were against Notre Dame (OH) and Gannon, who are unranked and No. 10, respectively, in the CWPA, which has 12 teams.

Lurking behind IU at No. 13 is CSU Northridge, who only played one game, but beat No. 20 Pacific by three scores. No. 14 Loyola Marymount made a case for itself by going 4-0. Although three victories were against unranked teams, Loyola also defeated No. 11 Princeton by two goals.

With Princeton's loss, the possibility of IU jumping up a spot also exists. The Tigers won their three other games of the weekend, but all were against the same three unranked foes Loyola faced.
