Five Hoosiers were in action on Thursday in the NCAA Championships. Indiana wasted no time and got right down to business in Session I.

Junior Ryan LeBlanc was the first Hoosier to take the mat, facing Central Michigan's Mike Ottinger. After a hard-fought match that came down to a sudden victory round, LeBlanc took away the win, topping Ottinger 5-3.

Next up on the mat for the Hoosiers was sophomore Joe Duca. Duca went up against Brown's William Watterson, however his efforts were not enough and was knocked off by Watterson, losing 6-7. While Duca lost the first round, he was not out for the count though. Duca would be featured again in the 125 wrestlebacks.

Sophomore Luke Sheridan would join Duca in the wrestlebacks, falling to North Carolina's Alex Utley in a 2-1 loss in the tiebreaker.

Both sophomore Taylor Walsh and junior Adam Chalfant proved victorious in their respective battles, Walsh knocking off the No. 3 seed, Joe Napoli of Lehigh and Chalfant defeating George Mason's Jacob Kettle 8-3.

LeBlanc, Walsh, and Chalfant would all win their second matches of the day, sending them into the championship round of 16.
