Senior forward Aulani Sinclair has been named Big Ten Player of the Week and freshman guard Nicole Bell has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.

Sinclair scored a career-high 34 points in IU's 72-56 win against SIU-Edwardsville Sunday, while Bell came off the bench and chipped in 11 points on 3-of-8 three-point shooting.

Sinclair finished 12-of-23 from the field and 7-of-13 from long distance, to go along with 5rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists. The seven made threes and three blocks tie career highs while her 12 made shots from the floor set a new career high.

Bell added a career-high 5 assists to just one turnover against the Cougars. The freshman has been a spark off the bench for the Hoosiers all season, particularly from the perimeter. Bell has now hit three or more threes in a game and scored in double figures three times this season.

This is the first time both Sinclair and Bell have earned weekly Big Ten honors.

With its win Sunday, IU improved to 7-4, surpassing its win total from last season.
