Following his performance against Iowa this past Saturday, IU sophomore wide receiver Cody Latimer was named Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week Monday morning.

Sharing the award with Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez, it is Latimer's first time he has ever been recognized by the conference for a game's performance. In the Hoosiers' 24-21 victory over the Hawkeyes, Latimer caught seven passes for 113 receiving yards. He also had three touchdown receptions from sophomore quarterback Cam Coffman, including a game-winning 30-yard pass in the fourth quarter.

He was also the first Hoosier with three touchdown catches since Tandon Doss did it at Purdue on Nov. 27, 2010. As a result, Latimer tied for the second-most touchdown receptions in a single game in school history.

His recognition marks the first time in over two years that a Hoosier has been awarded by the Big Ten for a game's performance. The last player to do so was former quarterback Ben Chappell on Sept. 20, 2010, when on the Saturday prior he threw for 366 passing yards and three touchdowns en route to a 38-21 victory over Western Kentucky.
