Defense. Defense. Defense.

That was the theme at Assembly Hall on Sunday evening as the Hoosiers held the Mocs to 27 percent shooting on the night while forcing 25 turnovers.

Sophomore guard Victor Oladipo had a career high 21 points while going 8-11 from the free throw line.

Junior guard Jordan Hulls hit some timely three-pointers and finished the game with 18 points.

After dishing out seven assists in Friday night's season opening win over Stony Brook, senior guard Verdell Jones III took more of a scoring role Sunday as he chipped in 16 points on 5-7 shooting.

IU had 15 steals and 7 blocks.

Next up for the 2-0 Hoosiers is a trip to southern Indiana to take on Evansville, who beat Butler on Saturday in overtime.
