Palm Desert (Ca.) College of the Desert cornerback Shaine Boyle became the 19th member of the IU 2012 recruiting class, and third from the junior college ranks, Wednesday when he committed to the Hoosiers.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Boyle chose IU over offers from Hawaii, San Jose State, New Mexico State and Western Michigan.
All three of IU's junior college commitments play on the defensive side of the ball. Boyle joins linebackers Darrius Stroud and Jacarri Alexander.
Boyle is IU's second cornerback commitment following Covington (Ga.) EastsideDante Blackmon's verbal pledge on September 8.
