For the second time this season, a Hoosier earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. Running back D'Angelo Roberts collected the award after a 38-21 win against South Carolina State, and wide receiver Shane Wynn won the award after Saturday's 41-20 loss to Illinois.

Wynn likely earned the honor on the first play of the game, when he returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown.

It was the first return for a touchdown for IU since 2009 and was the second longest in team history. Three Hoosier kickoff returners have had 100-yard kickoff returns, the most recent of which was Marcus Thigpen against Ball State in 2006.

He compiled 148 return yards, averaging 37 yards on each of his four returns. He is tied with Bob Richardson for the seventh most in a single game. Richardson racked up 148 return yards in 1951 against Michigan State.
