After becoming the first true freshman in school history to start a game at quarterback, Tre Roberson is the newest Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
Roberson was 16 for 24 fo 196 yards and a touchdown in IU's 45-24 loss to Iowa Saturday. He added 84 yards on the ground as well, the most for a Hoosier quarterback since Kellen Lewis had 148 against Ball State in the 2008 season.
Prior to this season, only sophomore kicker Mitch Ewald had won the conference freshman honor. Roberson, though, is the third Hoosier to take the title this season, following true freshman running back D'Angelo Roberts and true freshman wide receiver Shane Wynn.
