"Our goal in scheduling our exhibition games is to find programs that will best prepare us for the upcoming season, " said IU Coach Tom Crean. "Having the opportunity to schedule a team with strong local ties is an added bonus. Stan (Gouard) and his staff have done a great job in a short period of time, which is evident by their win at Tennessee last year."

The Greyhounds were 19-9 last season and return three starters. The two teams last met in an exhibition game on November 10, 2006 in Assembly Hall with the Hoosiers taking an 83-46 triumph. A year earlier to the day, IU also defeated the Greyhounds, 96-49 in Bloomington in another preseason exhibition.

The Hoosiers will open the season on Friday, November 11 and will host Stony Brook at 7 p.m.
