After a weekend where they scored nine goals in two games, allowing just one, and captured their home tournament title, the college soccer world took notice of an IU men's soccer team that may be better than many predicted.
After entering the season ranked No. 17 in the nation, according to the NSCAA , the Hoosiers have jumped into the top 10 of virtually every important college soccer poll in the country.
The same NSCAA poll which had them No. 17 now has coach Todd Yeagley's team sitting 10th. Other polls across the country have the team sitting, 10th, 9th, 8th, and even 5th.
IU now joins both Creighton and Louisville in the top 10, both teams consistently ranked in the top five, and both teams the Hoosiers have yet to face this season.
IU will take on Louisville Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Creighton Oct. 9 at 1:30 p.m. Both games will be played at Jerry Yeagley Field.
