IU men's basketball coach Tom Crean spoke to the media this afternoon in preparation for his team's matchup against Iowa on Saturday.

Here are a few main points to take away:
- Crean said IU sophomore forward Christian Watford (who is out with a broken left hand) could be back next week against Michigan. He did say, though, that it is a "very remote, outside possibility."
- He said the recent turnaround is about "stringing stops together defensively, more than anything else."
- Crean expects IU junior guard Verdell Jones to play against Iowa, but he most likely not going to play more minutes than he did against Minnesota on Wednesday.
"When I say he's day-to-day, I'm not being evasive," Crean said. "It's just a matter of how he feels and how he continues to progress and rehabilitate"
