Matt Igel apparently turned some heads Sunday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The junior reliever on Tuesday was selected as a semifinalist for CollegeBaseball360's "Primetime Pitcher of the Week" award for his work into extras in IU's 16-inning victory against No. 18 Coastal Carolina, according to a press release from IU Athletics.

Igel pitched 4 1/3 innings in relief of senior Matt Carr, who himself replaced starter Blake Monar on the mound. Igel allowed no runs and was faced with two potential winning runs on third base in the extra frames before freshman Ryan Halstead closed out the last three innings.

Kent State's David Starn earned the honor.
