IU volleyball beat Tennessee in five sets Saturday afternoon to send them to their first NCAA Sweet 16.

The Hoosiers put away the Volunteers with a thrilling late rally in the final set, scoring seven of the last 10 points to win the match after trailing 10-8 at University Gym. The final match line was 18-25, 25-21, 20-25 and 15-13.

Sophomore IU outside hitter Jordan Haverly recorded a career-high 30 kills. Also, senior IU middle blocker Ashley Benson added 14 kills in her final home match.

The win was IU's fifth victory over a top-25 team this season. Next, the Hoosiers head to Dayton, Ohio for the third-round appearance. The Hoosiers will face the winner of Southern California and San Diego on Friday.
