According to a site called Football Rumor Mill.com, IU has had talks with Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and the job is "his to lose" at this point in the process.

I don't know how credible this site is since I hadn't heard of it until this news was posted, but the site seems to believe Wilson will become the Hoosiers' next coach.

According to the website:

"Multiple sources tell FRM that Oklahoma O Kevin Wilson is likely next in line at Indiana. Barring a stumble in the formal interview, Wilson will become the next head coach of the Hoosiers."

Wilson has been the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma since 2006. Prior to that, Wilson served as the offensive coordinator at Miami (OH.) from 1990-98 and Northwestern from 1999-2001.

At least on the surface, Wilson seems like a good candidate for the job. He is connected to Miami, a school that both Terry Hoeppner and Bill Lynch coached at before taking the IU job. He is also connected to the Big Ten, which is why a move to the Midwest would make sense.

Oklahoma is 10-2 this season and is currently ranked No. 9 in the country. The Sooners will play No. 13 Nebraska Saturday night in the Big 12 Championship.
