Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell had his moment.

In front of a packed house of adoring Park Tudor fans on Wednesday and a very pleased IU coach Tom Crean, Ferrell, the No. 2-rated point guard by Rivals.com in the 2012 class, verbally committed to IU.

"Right now in front of my family, the Park Tudor family who have all been my biggest supporters, I want to verbally commit to play my college basketball for coach Tom Crean at Indiana," Ferrell said.

While Ferrell chose the Hoosiers above Butler, Florida, Virginia and Wake Forest, there seemed little doubt that Ferrell would choose the Hoosiers. An Indianapolis Star report confirmed as much yesterday, and Crean's presence at the game quelled any remaining suspense.

Ferrell is now a part of Crean's recruiting haul, that includes 2011 5-star recruit Cody Zeller and 2012 5-star recruit Hanner Perea - all three committed in the past month.

This post will be updated after Park Tudor's game against University.
