Freshman running back Antonio Banks, who left early in the game at Wisconsin on Saturday, will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, according the the IU injury report released Tuesday. Banks becomes the second IU running back to sustain a serious knee injury. Starter Darius Willis had surgery last month.

Also on the preliminary injury report, quarterback Dusty Kiel will be unavailable with a thumb injury, safety Donnell Jones, offensive lineman Andrew McDonald and linebacker Tyler Replogle are listed as questionable, and quarterback Ben Chappell is probable.

Lynch said Tuesday he expects Chappell to play on Saturday, "unless anything happens between now and game time."

IDS crew in Washington

Football beat writers Geoffrey Miller and Connor O'Gara, photographer Peter Stevenson, and myself will make the trip to Washington D.C. for this weekend's game. We plan to tape a special edition of "Talk of the Rock," our weekly preview show, somewhere in Washington.

If you have an idea for a hosting sight, feel free to leave a comment on this post or email me at jmalbers@indiana.edu. Also, if anyone is from the D.C. area and has a suggestion of where to eat or what to do while we're there (other than the typical history stuff) let us know.
