The Baylor men's basketball program is under investigation by the NCAA for its recruitment of 2012 IU prospect forward Hanner Perea, according to FOXSports.com.

Bears assistant coach Mark Morefield is accused of sending dozens of texts to Perea's AAU and high school coaches while they were coaching, a violation of NCAA rules.

Just in case you thought he might have just been texting coaches plans for the weekend, take a look at this excerpt:

Morefield, according to sources, had already been suspended by the school and was not allowed to recruit on the road in July for previous texting infractions.

Morefield also sent a text to LaLumiere coach Alan Huss, which was obtained by FOXSports.com, saying that if Perea didn't go to Baylor, he wouldn't be back in the United States.

``I guarantee u if he does [commit to another school] he will be in Colombia for the spring and summer and next year. Don't forget it," the text said.

Perea's recruitment has been between IU and Baylor for quite some time, but according to Rivals.com, Perea has "high" interest in North Carolina, though he does not have an offer from the Tar Heels.

Perea is a five-star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.com.
