For those that don't know, there was a bit of breaking news yesterday involving three members of the Cutters, 11-time champions of the Men's Little 500.
The riders - senior Eric Young, junior Michael Schroeder and freshman Eric Brodell - were hit by an oncoming car that veered across the yellow line on Ind. 446. The other rider on the training run, junior Thomas Walsh, managed to avoid injuries and was not struck by the car.
Here is the coverage, provided by last year's Little 500 beat reporter Stephanie Kuzydym and I. Kuzydym wrote this news piece about what happened during the accident, and this is a timeline written by she and I detailing the events leading up to the wreck, the wreck itself and the scene in the emergency room at Bloomington Hospital.
