You think sitting on your butt and wearing a full blown helmet and visor is tough? Try pumping your legs for 2+ hours and wearing Spandex.
Now, we all know that the school an hour and a half north of IU Bloomington and their tri bicycle event has nothing on the Greatest College Weekend, but they are making nerdy improvements.
Yesterday marked the inaugural Electric Vehicle Grand Prix in which 17 student teams from Purdon't, I mean, Purdue and IvyTech Community College raced.
The race was developed by the Indiana Advanced Electric Vehicle Training and Education Consortium as an innovative way to educate students in the field of electric vehicle technology.President Barack Obama last year announced that Purdue would lead the consortium, a $6.1 million effort funded through the U.S. Department of Energy with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
I'm sure they took a few notes from this little one.
