In a two-and-a-half hour contest and one of the most poorly officiated games I've ever seen, Washington defeated Gary Wallace 65-62 en route to the Hatchets' third championship in six years. Washington's Cody Zeller finished with 2o points and 26 rebounds, while his counterpart Branden Dawson had a night consisting of 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Dawson did not start the game and sat out some of the second due to an injury he suffered in the third quarter.
The 4A title game is underway between North Central (Indianapolis) and Warsaw (Warsaw, Ind.) Tom Crean is still here, as 2012 blue-chipper D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera and 2010 Purdue committ Terone Johnson highlight the end of the 2010 championships. Although I did not see him, there was rumor Roy Williams was at Conseco Fieldhouse for the 3A championship.
