An IU media relations press release sent out Sunday said that IU has no intention of renewing the contract of assistant coach Roshown McLeod and will let him go immediately.
Crean spoke about the need for IU to make moves at Saturday's press conference.
There was no way to tell what he meant at the time.
Here's the comment released on his part.
"There is never a good time for something like this, but it is a decision that had to be made moving forward," said Crean.
The quote speaks of inconvenience, but says little about the reasoning behind McLeod firing.
McLeod was in his second year with IU. His job was to work personally with inside players for the Hoosiers.
