Drew Leininger remains stellar in the Hoosiers 10-3 win over Akron (10-8) on Saturday. He hasn't allowed a run in his last 26 innings, including six today. The Hoosiers (9-9) have won four games in a row. Leininger had plenty of run support, as six different players had multi-hit games.
Leininger (3-0) only needed 70 pitches to get through six innings before coming out of the game due to precautionary measures after tweaking his leg in the fourth. He surrendered just three hits and a walk, while striking out four to lower his ERA to a minuscule 0.79 on the year.
Michael Basil, Sterling Mack, Jerrud Sabourin, Alex Dickerson, Dylan Swift, and Tyler Rogers all had two hits a piece today.
IU concluded the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational by going 5-2. They will return to the Midwest for a week day game at Morehead State (9-11) on Tuesday.
