After two days of competition No. 14 women's swimming and diving team is in third place in the Big Ten Championships.
They are within 13.5 points of Minnesota, who is in first place. Michigan is currently in second place.
On day one Indiana finished first in the 800 freestyle relay swam by Kate Fesenko, Brittany Strumbel, Donna Smailis and Nikki White. In the 200 medley relay the Hoosiers finished third with Kate Fesenko, Ashely Spect, Donna Smailis and Marquax Farrell all contributing.
The second day of competition featured a school record swim by Ashley Jones for a second-place finish in the 200 IM.
The one-meter diving completed their competition. Sophomore Gabby Agostino finished third with her best finish at a Big Ten meet.
The Hoosiers were not as strong on day two of competition with those being their only two events in which swimmers placed.
Nikki White had the next highest finish with fourth place in the 500 freestyle.
Here are videos from West Lafayette on behalf of the athletics department with Ashley Jones talking about her school record and assistant head coach Pam Swander commenting on the day's events.
