The IU baseball team fell to 0-3 today as Brian Lambert and Jerrud Sabourin had two hits each, but No. 23 San Diego took full advantage of runners in scoring position to take a 9-2 decision in game one of the teams' doubleheader today.
In the nightcap, a late Hoosiers rally fell short as IU brought the tying run to the plate. Dickerson and Dylan Swift each had two hits, with Swift driving in two runs on top of that. Drew Leininger pitched lights out out of the pen for the Hoosiers, picking up Jonny Hoffman, who collected the loss in his Hoosier debut.
