The IU women's basketball team looks to complete a season sweep of and win its 12th straight game against Northwestern at 8 p.m. today in Evanston.
The Hoosiers (13-12, 6-8) won the Jan. 21 meeting with the Wildcats (14-11, 5-9) in Assembly Hall.
Three IU players -- senior guard Jamie Braun, junior forward Hope Elam and junior guard Jori Davis -- scored triple digits in the victory.
Davis currently stands fourth in the Big Ten in scoring.
For Northwestern, junior center Amy Jaeschke, who currently ranks one spot behind Davis among the conference's leading scorers, led the way in the previous meeting with 17 points.
Here is a quick aggregation of previews and reports on the game:
- The Hoosiers are not necessarily looking to slow down Jaeschke as much as they are looking to contain other Northwestern players, writes Candice Rohrman in the Indiana Daily Student.
- Jeremy Price reports in the Bloomington Herald-Times that Davis is closing in on 1,000 career points.
- Northwestern junior guard Meshia Reed has improved in a new role off the bench, writes Danny Daly in The Daily Northwestern.
