Since Michigan was the first game in which IU played without freshman guard Maurice Creek, we decided it might be time to do an update on how IU guards have fared since Creek's 16.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists left the lineup because of his season-ending knee injury.

With the exception of Jeremiah Rivers, who benefitted from how Creek's shooting ability spread the floor and opened driving lanes, IU guards have all increased their numbers. Yet, the Hoosiers have entered Big Ten play, faced tougher competition and come out of the three games without Creek sporting only a 1-2 record.

Here's are the points and assists numbers for IU guards with and without Maurice Creek.

Hulls - 4.2 points, 1.9 assists

Moore - 1.0 points, .25 assists

Jones - 11.8 points, 3.1 assists

Rivers - 7.4 points, 4.7 assists

After Creek's absence

Hulls - 8.3 points, 1.6 assists

Moore - 2 points, .66 assists
