After suffering a knee injury on the opening kick return, cornerback Ray Fisher left the game and didn't return. The IU football team released its depth chart for this upcoming week's game against Wisconsin, and Fisher was not listed either at cornerback or in his kickoff/punt return position. Fisher led the Big Ten and was fifth in the nation in kickoff returns, averaging 35.3 yards per return. He is one of ten players in the country with two kickoffs returned for touchdowns.
WR Tandon Doss was listed as the kickoff and punt returner and RB Demetrius McCray will be the backup.
Other depth chart notes:
- Safety Nick Polk, who missed the game due to an ankle injury in last week's practice, is back on the chart as the first-string safety.
- LB Will Patterson and CB Donnell Jones, who both were questionable (but did play) against Iowa, were listed as starters.
- Backup safety Jerimy Finch was off the depth chart, after missing last week's game due to a hamstring injury. Matt Kurz was listed as Polk's backup.
- Freshman QB Ed Wright-Baker is still listed as Ben Chappell's backup. Wright-Baker is the only remaining freshman that the coaching staff has not made a decision on concerning a redshirt. Third-string QB Adam Follett has played in mop up time this season; Wright-Baker will only play if Chappell goes down with a significant injury.
