This is a release we just got from IU Athletics:

Indiana University Vice President and Director of Athletics Fred Glass has announced that the expanded 11,000 student seats for Saturday night's home football game against #9 Ohio State are sold out. This represents the largest number of student tickets sold for a game at Memorial Stadium since the 1992 season. Kickoff for Saturday is set for 7 p.m.

"We expanded the available student seating as much as we could, from the normal 8,100 seats to 11,000, an increase of more than one third," Glass said. "As of Thursday morning this expanded student seating was completely sold out".

The Hoosiers will return to Memorial Stadium for a Homecoming contest against Illinois on October 17. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. With strong early ticket sales, the ticket office expects another large crowd for the Homecoming game.

Barely 2,000 general public reserved seat tickets remain on sale and may be purchased at the ticket office, or by calling 866-IUSports or visiting IUHoosiers.com online. The ticket office expects that these remaining seats will be sold out before kickoff.

The Assembly Hall ticket office will be open this week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in and will be open at 9 a.m. on Saturday all day prior to the game. The Memorial Stadium Ticket Offices will open at 4 p.m. Saturday. Public parking in and around the stadium will open at 10 a.m.
