This drill had members of the team fighting through hits with padded bags as seen in football drills and making their way to the hoop off of a crossover.
It was a physical drill and it showed a lot about some of the players' ability to finish. Here's what I saw:
Bawa Muniru and Tijan Jobe, for obvious reasons, had difficulty keeping the handle. Jobe is a little slower on the spin and crossover, but Muniru seems to be a little more out of control off the dribble and less coordinated.
Maurice Creek and Devan Dumes have the best handles and most explosiveness of the group. It will be interesting to see the battle between those two. Jeremiah Rivers was also impressive.
The smaller guys, such as Jordan Hulls, had some trouble dealing with contact in the lane. Another player that surprised me with this problem was Christian Watford. Strength seems to be an area he needs to work on.
More to come soon. They've started up a shooting drill now.
