This just in:

The fantasy nation is in shambles. Good, promising owners are trading their lives away for a miracle cure, when all they need is patience. Did Einstein assume he was doomed to failure after flunking 6th Grade Math? NO!

The fantasy stocks are just like the real stock market; when people panic, it only makes things worse. I promise you, if you take this article with a grain of salt, you'll be eating a kings feast come December!

Stock Up:

QB Byron Leftwich (Buccaneers) - Eeesshh! Even his name isn't fun to say. But points are points. And no one judges a winner.

QB Trent Edwards (Bills) - Buffalo is tearin' it up early this season, and don't be surprised if they pack heat for a while. Averaging over 20 points per game means you can trade your top-end QB for a top-end something else without giving up your team's integrity.

RB Willis McGahee (Ravens) - Ray Rice my rear end! The real champion in this 3-man-tandem is Willy Nilly! With an average of over 20 points per game, he's turning into a must-start workhorse (turning, not turned).

TE Brent Celek (Eagles) - Has anyone ever heard of this guy? I'd be surprised if his mother could remember his name! But if you don't have one of the top Tight Ends, this guy is the next best thing.

Stock Down:

QB Brett Favre (Vikings) - Adrian Peterson is getting too much offensive attention (surprising that Favre can be overshadowed). He surely won't top 20 TDs this season, and therefore is about as useful as a pack of Kool-Aid mix in the desert.

RB Clinton Portis (Redskins) - If you can't run against the Rams, some red flags are going to pop up!

RB Steve Slaton (Texans) - In the high-scoring game of the week, this is the only person who missed making the highlight reel. Trade him, drop him, forget him.

WR TJ Houshmandzadeh (Seahawks) - With Matt (Hasselbeck) gone, this kid is in for a sliding down a slippery slope into slump! At this point, I wouldn't count on him for anything more than a comical anecdote of how drunk you were at the end of the third round!

They don't hand out respect to every yahoo on the street, so take it from them! Remember, it's your league, and they're just playing in it!

You owe me one,

Robb Jacobson
