I have gathered all of the questions sent to my email this week and have answers for all who are desperate for them. I promise, no question will go unanswered; no inquirer will be left unsatisfied; and all who ask shall be blessed with the light of knowledge and wisdom in their otherwise dark and shrouded confusion.
David asks: I have been offered a trade for my Joseph Addai (Colts) and his Steve Smith (Panthers), straight up. I have good enough running backs but Joseph Addai gives me depth and I'm not sure if Smith will get better this season. What do you think?
The Fantasy Sage answers: My how far Smith has fallen. Although his value isn't what it used to be, you might be able to blame it on a few bad games. Remember, everybody has their off weeks. As for Addai, his value might be a bit inflated now, but as the season wears on, his chance of injury or losing carries to Donald Brown grows. Therefore, trading Addai for Smith could possibly the most concealed steal of the season. Pull the trigger, or buy a box of Kleenex.
Peter asks: I have to start 2 running backs out of Clinton Portis, Steven Jackson, and Tim Hightower. Who should I start?
The Fantasy Sage answers: Right off the bat, Steven Jackson should be started this week. He's on a super hot streak as of late and has been racking up monster points, even without scoring a single touchdown. Think of what he can do when he's dancing with the goal post! As for the other two, Clinton Portis is having some injury troubles, but has more skills and a better offensive line. But Tim Hightower gets more targets from his QB and can rack up the points in a points-per-reception league. Therefore, my answer must come with conditions: PPR - Hightower; Not PPR - Portis.
Casey asks: I can pick up either Pierre Garcon or Anthony Gonzalez from the waiver wires, who should I pick up?
The Fantasy Sage answers: Although Pierre is pickin' up the pace with Peyton placing the ball so perfectly, he's only a temporary fix until Gonzalez gets back. Therefore, if you are looking to win a championship, go with Gonzo!
