There's an interesting idea on IU football coming out of Fort Wayne, Ind., and for once, it has a positive tone.

News-Sentinel columnist Pete DiPrimo has suggested that IU could crack the AP top 25 if they leave Ann Arbor, Mich. with a victory.

Considering that Michigan is a ranked team themselves and a victory would give the Hoosiers a 4-0 start, it is not too unlikely that they would do just that. However, it's been since Bill Mallory has coached the team that voters have given the Hoosiers their time of day.

Another pretty big roadblock is that Michigan holds a 50-9 series lead all-time over IU, and the Wolverines look poised for a potential Big Ten championship run this season. The last time IU won in the big house was 1967, the same year the Hoosiers went to the Rose Bowl. The last trip to Ann Arbor in 2005 yielded a 41-14 defeat.

What do you think? Does IU have it takes to take down Michigan in the Big House? And if they do, do they deserve recognition from AP voters?

Update: ESPN's Mark Schlabach is projecting IU to be in the Insight Bowl this year, facing Texas Tech. That means he is predicting IU will get at least three more wins this season. Consider this in your thoughts on the season for IU.
