A 13-3 win did the trick tonight, as Blake Monar tossed 6 2/3 innings of solid work and Tyler Rogers' bases-clearing triple highlighted a seven-run fifth inning that put IU in the driver's seat, a position it would not relinquish.

Ohio State struck first with a run in the first and the second, but IU scored three in the fourth before their game-sealing fifth inning.

Joey O'Gara and Matt Igel closed out the last 2 1/3 innings.

IU took an aggressive approach early in the count, swinging often and chasing Ohio State starter Dean Wolosianski's first pitch more often than not. As the Buckeye starter starting missing his spots, the offense heated up, and burned Ohio State out of the winner's bracket.
