An Ohio State win and a Minnesota loss on the final day of the season gave the Buckeyes the advantage into the Big Ten Tournament. Losing their final game against Michigan State, the Hoosiers were given the No. 3 seed.
The Hoosiers are slated to play No. 6 seeded Purdue. IU had two losses and one win against Purdue during regular season action.
The Buckeye's(18-6) win earned them a Big Ten Title and a No. 1 seed. The team's 13th consecutive conference appearance, Ohio State received the No. 1 seed for the first time since 2001. The Buckeyes received a first round bye.
Minnesota (17-6) was slotted at the No. 2 seed. Leading the Big Ten Conference with 25 appearances, the Gophers also received a first round bye.
Indiana (16-7) earned the No. 3 seed for their seventh tournament appearance. The team also made the tournament last year. , IU received its highest seed since the conference tournament expanded to six teams in 2000.
Illinois (16-8) and Michigan State (13-11) round out the top five seeds respectively.
The Hoosiers look to derail the Boliermakers at 3:35 p.m. ET Wednesday.
