An IU Athletics Release -

CRIMSON CLUB TO OFFER STUDENTS REWARDS FOR SUPPORTING IU ATHLETICS

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University students who attend a number of athletic events on campus will be eligible for a rewards program which could garner them, t-shirts, a lunch with selected IU head coaches, laptop computers or a 42" HDTV.

"We believe we have some of the most loyal student fans in the country and we want to show our appreciation by implementing this rewards system," IU football head coach Bill Lynch said.

When students attend an IU athletic event, their University ID card is swiped and they receive points for their attendance. Once they accumulate a certain level of points, they may redeem those points for their rewards. For example, when students purchase a season ticket for football, they earn enough points to already receive a t-shirt.

"I can tell you first hand that our students are among the most enthusiastic fans in the country," IU men's basketball head coach Tom Crean. "Their support is vital to the success of our programs."

The program will start in the Fall of 2009. Students can begin purchasing season tickets for football and men's basketball on April 6 and can put the bill on their bursar account.

Students can purchase men's basketball and football season tickets for a combined $280 and football season tickets for just $30.
