Just bought this today, and it's a great read so far. It's called "The Little 500: The Story of the World's Greatest College Weekend."
For anyone who wants to know more about the history of the Little 500, check this book out. It's by John Schwarb, a 1996 alum of IU who covered the race in his time here and has 10 years experience in the field of journalism. In that time, he has written for the St. Petersburgh Times and freelanced about motorsports for ESPN.
Schwarb spent two years after graduation researching the race and calling countless members of the races from 1951-1999. His work is the only of its kind, and it is extremely well written and worth a look.
