Four errors were commiteed and 12 men were left on base this afternoon as IU fell to Eastern Michigan 10-6. The loss was given to IU sophomore pitcher Joey O'Gara, who gave up six hits and five runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
Despite the loss, two Hoosiers had breakout performances. IU senior pitcher Joe Vicini finished the game by only giving up only one hit and throwing two strikeouts in 1 and a 1/3 innings. Freshman catcher Josh Lyon went 3-4 with a double and an RBI.
The Hoosiers are now 3-4 on the young season and look to rebound later this week when they face Georgia Southern in the Eagle Invitational in Statesboro, Ga.
