Hey y'all,
Not the most relevant of Hoosier football news, but I still feel some of you might be interested. James Hardy (does he really need an introduction?) went down with a left knee injury in his NFL game Sunday.
Hardy plays for the Buffalo Bills, who squared off with the New York Jets in New York.
Bills back Marshawn Lynch took a snap and ran to Hardy's side of the field where the receiver was blocking. Lynch was tackled by a Jet defender near Hardy. After the pile lifted, Hardy was still down.
At this point Chris Brown, the Bills' beat writer for their team site, said on his live blog (much like the ones brought to you here), "Hardy is hurt. Doesn't look good. Got hurt on the Lynch run while trying to block downfield."
Shortly after, Hardy was carted off the field by the Bills' training staff.
No official word on Hardy has yet to be found. We'll update you when we find out more.
