Having posted eight shots in the first half, IU's offense working hard in the first 45.

But their defense was also effective, with Cain tallying two saves against a tough St. John's offense. The Hoosiers have to continue their tight defense throughout the second half if they want to maintain their current 1-0 lead.

So far, St. John's has only recorded one shot on goal against IU.

SECOND HALF UPDATE:

Junior Eric Alexander scored into the corner in the 72nd minute for a 2-0 lead.

The Red Storm's Joel Gustaffson and Sverre Wegge Gundhus scored in the 82nd and 88th minutes, respectively, to tie up the match.

St. Johns' Nelson Becerra scored off a penalty kick in the 95th minute of the first overtime to send the Red Storm to the College Cup. This marks the first year in IU history that the team has gone four years without going to the College Cup.
