For those of you pining after slugger-turned-sharpshooter Kipp Schutz, who just recently left the IU basketball team to get healthy and rejoin the IU baseball team, fear not I say! Eric Arnett, the young right-hander, is still practicing with the Hoosiers, and will do so until baseball season starts.
According to IU Athletics spokesperson J.D. Campbell, there are no plans at present to replace Schutz with another walk-on, though IU coach Tom Crean has said all year he and his staff will never stop looking for new additions to the team if they think said new faces could help. There were plenty of rumors last fall about Damarlo Belcher or another football player joining the team, but nothing's played out on that front so far.
