Dick Vitale was on Sportscenter this morning to talk about the college basketball season.
While I didn't transcribe everything said, (As I was kind of half asleep) The question about how he thought Tom Crean and IU will fare came up.
Vitale first noted that he thought they would struggle, but eventually Crean will turn it around. He then immediately went off on a tangent i'm sure most Hoosier die hards have heard already, that Assembly Hall needs to be re-named after one, "Robert Montgomery Knight." Maybe he's contractually obligated.
I'm not really sure what that had to do with the original question about this years Hoosiers, but then again I think every time Vitale has talked about IU in the past five years he's gone off on the same rant.
Whether or not you think Assembly Hall should be named after Knight is neither here nor there. My question is, when was the last time Dick Vitale has ever talked about IU basketball without saying the words, "Robert Montgomery Knight?" 5 years? 10 years?
