After defeating Saint Louis 2-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, sixth-seeded IU will take on conference foe Michigan.
Senior forward John Mellencamp and junior defensive midfielder Kevin Alston scored for the Hoosiers, preventing a second-round exit like last year's to Bradley. Senior midfielder Brad Ring returned to action, starting after missing five games.
Saturday's game will mark the third match-up of the year between the Hoosiers and Wolverines. While Michigan won the regular season match 1-0, but IU returned the favor in the Big Ten Conference Tournament, 1-0.
IDS columnists Chris Engel and Zachary Osterman reported on the game.
The team will play 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
